Market Location

The entrance is on the left, less than quarter mile off US 58, on Farmers Market Drive. Our physical and mailing address is 497 Farmers Market Dr, Hillsville, VA 24343.The Southwest Virginia Farmers Market is conveniently located just off of I- 77, Exit 14 (Galax/Hillsville exit).

Our Market consists of Wholesale and Retail Operations!

Our Retail Market (Direct Sales) is open to the public year round, seven days a week except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day and times of inclement weather.   Vendors bring a variety of farm fresh produce, produce-related items, in-season plants,and area arts and crafts. The Market provides a home-grown atmosphere perfect for your shopping enjoyment! Bring the family and visit with neighbors! Feel at home when you buy local to support area growers!

RETAIL – DIRECT SALES

Our retail vendors at the Direct Sales Building are open year-round (weather permitting) so come by and get some jams, jellies, fruits, vegetables, candies, ham, honey, and lots of other items and support our local farmers/vendors.

Be sure to check out the seasonal displays.  We partner with local orchards to provide a variety of fresh local fruits in-season. We have pumpkins and mums in the fall and a large selection of gift baskets at Christmas time and we have a large variety of beautiful flowers beginning in the Spring Season thru Summer.

WHOLESALE

Our Wholesale Warehouse operates year round. The wholesale market distributes local produce to grocery store chains. Cooling, packing, and grading  is available to add value to locally grown fruits and vegetables.

Hydro coolers, forced-air coolers, and ice machines keep produce fresh and ready for transport. Some of our local growers sell directly to Food City and other food  chains!

The Carroll County Agricultural Fair is held annually in late August at the Southwest Virginia Farmers Market Fairgrounds on the Wholesale gated side.

 The Fair works hard to promote agriculture to our youth and adults through Ag Education Days, Ag related events, and exhibits.
